Jessica writes about intimate partner violence,  

cryptocurrency/blockchain, curious subcultures, sex work, and just about everything in between. She also draws bizarre portraits.

As a contributing reporter at The Fuller Project, a nonprofit newsroom dedicated to journalism about women, she received the 2021 NAJA National Native Media Award for Best Coverage of Native America. In 2024, her profile of artist Muzae Sesay, “An Oakland Made of Legos,” received a nomination for the National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Awards from the Los Angeles Press Club.
